The easiest way to fight lawn weeds is to stop them before they arrive. Apply Pre-Emergent to your lawn so that weeds don't take over your precious landscape. Remember your home is an asset and weeds in the yard can make a decision from a potential buyer more difficult about whether or not they should buy.

Gardening is more than decorating your yard. It is not reserved for just a few select green thumbs. Gardens give the people working on them a feeling of serenity and a close bond with nature. If you become a avid gardener, it will have a great effect on your way of living.
Digging in clay soil with a shovel can be very difficult. The clay isn't easy to work with and will adhere to the shovel, which only makes the problem worse. To make the clay soft so you aren't working as hard, take floor or car wax and rub a light coat on the surface of the shovel using a clean cloth, then buff the surface. The clay will slide off of its surface and it will prevent rust.
Fight pests before you even plant, by getting your soil in shape. If you have healthy looking plants, they are stronger and more resistant to diseases and bugs. Start your garden off with a high-quality soil that you can enrich over time.
In the cold winter months, you can salvage certain plants by bringing them into the house. Perhaps save the most resistant or expensive plants. Dig around the roots carefully and transfer the plant to a pot.
Check your soil before you begin planting your garden. You can get a soil analysis, and if you find your soil needs a supplement, do it! A lot of Cooperative Extension locations offer this service, and you can prevent ruining a few crops by identifying the specific steps to take.
Keep the weeds out of your garden by removing them regularly. Those nasty weeds can turn your beautiful garden into a scruffy version of its former self. To help with the removal, you can use white vinegar. It can kill weeds. Load up your spray bottle with some white vinegar, and spray the weeds away instead of breaking your back removing them by hand.
Use this article to revive your garden. Ultimately, when you see your plants bloom and full of life, you will be happy you did. Gardening could become your new hobby and be a real source of happiness for you.
